Period 2006 – 2010:

• On January 1, 2006, VNNIC was officially renamed the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center.

• On April 28, 2006, VNNIC officially inaugurated the Vietnam National Internet eXchange (VNIX).

• On December 24, 2007, VNNIC was recognized as a member of the Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC).

Period 2011 – 2015:

• On March 13, 2011, VNNIC officially rolled out Vietnamese domain name allocation (.vn.net, .vn.org,…).

• On March 29, 2012, VNNIC was recognized as a member of the European Registry for Internet Domains (EURid).

• On May 12, 2013, VNNIC was awarded the Third-Class Labor Order by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Period 2016 – 2020:

• On April 28, 2016, VNNIC officially launched the Vietnam Internet Technical Support Center (VNNIC-CERT).

• On December 19, 2017, VNNIC was recognized as a member of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

• On July 20, 2018, VNNIC officially launched international domain registration services (.com, .net, .org,…).

Period 2021 – present:

• On April 28, 2021, VNNIC officially launched the Vietnam Internet Research and Development Institute (VNNIC-RDI).

• On October 13, 2021, VNNIC officially launched digital certificate authority (CA) services for individuals.
