Guide to Using VPTS Web S3 Storage

S3 Storage VPTSis an S3-compatible Object Storage service. The service is suitable for storing:

• File backup website, VPS, server
• Images, videos, documents
• Static files for websites
• Software, app, and internal system data
• Data requiring long-term storage and easy capacity scaling

Example:

• API Endpoint: https://<endpoint-s3-VPTS>
• Access Key: <access-key-cua-ban>
• Secret Key: <secret-key-cua-ban>
• Bucket: <ten-bucket-cua-ban>
• Region: <vn-1>

In which:

• The S3 endpoint is the storage server address.
• Access Key is the access account.
• Secret Key is the security password.
• A bucket is a data container.
• Region can usually be set to vn-1 if there is no dedicated region.

After logging in successfully, customers will see the Object Browser interface.

After connecting successfully, you can easily operate on the interface:

• Upload/Download: Click upload and select the file to upload.
• Create folder: Click Create New Path to categorize files.
• Access permissions: Configure Public or Private permissions for each file/folder.

• Download: Download this photo directly to your computer or phone.
• Share: Create a temporary URL to send to others to view the file. You can configure an expiration time for this link (e.g., the link is only valid for 24 hours).
• Preview: Opens a small window to view image content directly on the web interface without downloading it to your computer.
• Tags (Identifier tags): Attach keywords or labels (e.g., department: accounting) to files for quick search, cost categorization, or configuring advanced access permissions.

• Customers should secure Access Key and Secret Key credentials and not share them publicly or store them in public source code. For backup data, internal documents, or critical files, keep buckets in Private mode for security.
• When uploading large datasets or needing periodic automated backups, use tools like rclone or AWS CLI instead of manual browser uploads. Customers should also verify files post-upload and maintain multiple daily, weekly, or monthly backup versions for easy restoration when needed.
