In an era of ever-growing digitalization and automation, the demand for proxies to maintain anonymity, scrape data, optimize SEO, or manage systems has become more prevalent than ever. Among them, IPv6 Proxies are gradually becoming the ideal choice thanks to the advantage of huge IP pool size, stable speed, and effective ban avoidance.
However, creating and configuring an IPv6 Proxy yourself is not simple if you are a beginner. Some common mistakes users often encounter include:
- Do not fully understand how IPv6 works and its scope.
- Assigning the wrong IPv6 range causes the proxy to not work.
- Missing NAT configuration or firewall blocking proxy port.
- Having trouble checking whether the proxy is working properly.
Don't worry,VPTSwill accompany you with a detailed step-by-step guide to quickly and accurately creating and configuring an IPv6 Proxy, applicable on both Linux and Windows operating systems. Whether you are a programmer, a marketer, or simply someone in need of high-quality proxies for work – this article will certainly help you!
What is an IPv6 Proxy?
An IPv6 proxy is an intermediary server using Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) addresses to transfer data between users and the Internet. Similar to standard proxies, IPv6 proxies conceal your real IP address, safeguard your identity, and provide anonymous connections when visiting websites or performing online tasks.
Key features of IPv6 Proxy:
- Use IPv6 address format:
2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334
- Thousands of distinct proxies can be created on the same server.
- Minimize IP blocks caused by duplicate usage.
- Easily distribute for web scraping, account management, automation, SEO, etc.
1. Why Should You Use IPv6 Proxy?
- Abundant IP address pool:IPv4 has exhausted its address pool, while IPv6 provides trillions upon trillions of addresses—enough for every device or user to have a dedicated IP. This allows you to easily generate multiple proxies without facing IPv4 limitations.- Better anonymity and security: IPv6 Proxies help hide real IP addresses, prevent online tracking, and minimize IP ban risks when accessing websites or executing automated tasks.
- Effective for automation activities: Using IPv6 Proxies is ideal for tasks such as: web scraping, SEO tools, automated account registration/checking, streaming, social media, etc. It helps prevent blocks, increases success rates, and distributes IPs more naturally.
- High speed and stability:Many ISPs and major platforms have optimized for IPv6; therefore, using IPv6 Proxies delivers faster, more stable access speeds when handling many concurrent connections.
- Optimized cost:Compared to IPv4 Proxies which are scarce and expensive, IPv6 Proxies cost many times less while still adequately meeting usage demands with equal or superior performance.
2. Guide to Creating IPv6 Proxy
Preparation requirements:
- 1 VPS running CentOS 7 or higher
- Pre-configured with /64 IPv6 (VPTS will assist you with this)
- VPS login tools such as Bitvise SSH Client or PuTTY
Step 1: Log in to the VPS
You can use 2 remote control applications (if you don't have one here).Bitvise SSH Client (2 downloads )orDownload Putty (19 downloads)

If using SSH, follow these steps: open the software and fill in the details as follows:
- Host: VPS IP address (provided by VPTS)
- Port: 22 (default)
- Username:
root
- Initial method:
password
- Password: Your VPS password
After filling it out, click Accept (if prompted) then select Save → click Login to start connecting.
Suggestions:Check "Store encrypted password in profile" if you want faster logins next time without re-entering the password.
Step 2: Access the command line window (Terminal)
Once you have successfully logged in, the main Bitvise interface will be displayed.
Here, please:
- Click the New Terminal Console tab
- A command prompt window will open – this is where you will type commands to install the IPv6 Proxy.
Note: This terminal acts as a direct command window to your VPS – copy commands accurately to avoid errors!
Step 3: Update CentOS operating system
Updating CentOS is not mandatory,
but will help your system run more stably, increasing compatibility and security when installing new packages.
To update CentOS, run the following commands sequentially:
You can copy and right-click to paste the command as shown below:
yum update -y
yum install dos2unix -y
Upon completion:
Step 4: Download installation shell script file
You need to download the installation files corresponding to the proxy package you are using:
- In case of using proxies with username and password:
wget https://sharettt.com/multimedia/setup.sh
- In case of using the 100-Proxy Plan (No User, Password):
wget https://sharettt.com/multimedia/setup1.sh
Execute the installation file:
- With file
setup.sh:
chmod +x setup.sh && bash setup.sh
- (Optional): Convert the file format before running to avoid errors:
dos2unix setup.sh
- With file
setup1.sh:
dos2unix setup1.sh
chmod +x setup1.sh && bash setup1.sh
Step 5: Retrieve generated proxy information
Once installation is complete, the proxy list will be located at the path:
/home/vpsttt/proxy.txt
You can open this file to retrieve proxy login credentials (including IP, Port, User, Password).
How to find the file containing the IPv6 list
To view the list of generated IPv6 addresses, you need to access the server via SFTP (usually using software such as Bitvise SSH Client, FileZilla, etc.).
Execution steps:
Open your SFTP software → Select New SFTP window as shown in the illustration.
Navigate to the following path:
/home/vpsttt/proxy.txt
In this folder, you will see a file namedproxy.txt. Double-click this file to open it.
Trong file proxy.txt, you will see the complete list of pre-generated IPv6 proxies.
How to check IPv6
After completing the installation steps, you should verify the created IPv6 proxy list to ensure that all are working properly.
How to check using the Proxy Checker tool:
1. Go to website:https://proxy6.net/en/checker
2. At the check interface:
- Copy the entire proxy list from the file
proxy.txt.
- Paste into the check box as illustrated.
Note:Maximum 50 proxies per check.
3. Compare IPv4 Proxy and IPv6 Proxy
4. Practical applications of IPv6 Proxy
- Web scraping / data crawling: Using multiple IPv6 addresses helps collect data from websites without IP bans, which is extremely useful for data analytics companies or search engines.
- SEO &Automated marketing: Using multiple IPv6 addresses helps scrape data from websites without IP bans, extremely useful for data analytics companies or search engines.
- Streaming and accessing geo-restricted content: Using multiple IPv6 addresses helps collect You can use proxies to access services like Netflix, Spotify, or YouTube from different regions.
- Multi-channel account management: IPv6 proxies allow you to log into multiple accounts simultaneously on a single platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) without being flagged as spam.
- System and security testing: Use proxies to test performance, security, and system behavior when accessed from different IP addresses.
CONCLUSION
Thus, in 4 simple steps, you can create and deploy an IPv6 Proxy system quickly and efficiently. Using IPv6 not only expands the address space almost infinitely, but also optimizes performance and scalability of your proxy system.
